Randall May International produces innovative support products for drummers and other percussion artists around the world. The company asked FinCo to help develop a carrier harness for musicians who carry base drums and other large instruments in marching bands. FinCo responded by creating the fiberglass body of an instrument carrier called the May Mag-Vest, which proved to be a major breakthrough in carrier technology.

The Mag-Vest’s combination of a composite fiberglass body with a lightweight magnesium frame resulted in an ultra thin, “under-uniform” carrier vest that is unmatched in strength, comfort and stability. FinCo continues to manufacture all fiberglass bodies for the Mag-Vest, which is used by marching bands throughout the United States.
